How Expensive is Bentonite Waterproofing?

The cost of exterior bentonite waterproofing for wet basements is usually a pleasant surprise for most homeowners. In addition to the cost being lower than an interior drain tile system with a sump pump, bentonite waterproofing can be done in smaller areas just where the basement is wet. With interior drain tile systems, it's more cost efficient to do the entire basement, Bentonite Hydroclay waterproofing can be done along walls or corners making Bentonite Hydroclay usually the least costly option for wet basements.

For over 34 years Great Lakes Waterproofing has been waterproofing the Midwest.        Great Lakes Waterproofing has an advantage over most residential waterproofers that only offer interior drain tile and sump pump installations. Sure we do these but in most wet basement situations we can do foundation waterproofing from the exterior.
Using equipment we've modified or custom made for exterior waterproofing, Great Lakes Waterproofing has developed an unriveled process to seal up wet basements and foundations. In most cases we can leave the landscaping with little disruption, our installers take pride in leaving the area as they found it. Great Lakes Waterproofing has used all natural Bentonite Hydroclay for most exterior waterproofing jobs. This Green Waterproofing Material is one of the few recognized by the National Institute of Science to prevent wet basements and foundations. If your home or business is new we can use Volclay, Voltex or Miraclay Panels and Membranes. Installed right before backfilling your walls. Once the membrane becomes wet it expands to fill any foundation cracks and holes. More water pressure against the foundation just pushes the bentonite further against the foundation for true waterproofing. If you have an existing building or home with a wet basement or foundation we can do remedial waterproofing by pumping a slurry of bentonite hydroclay around the exterior of the wet basement walls. Different soil conditions require different mixtures of bentonite waterproofing, our installers have training to recognize these conditions and blend the material for the perfect consistancy for waterproofing.

The Great Lakes Waterproofing Philosophy is simple.....to waterproof foundations, if possible, when faced with a wet basement or leaky foundation. While drain tile and sump pumps are considered water management (you still have water coming through your basement walls and floor), true basement waterproofing starts on the exterior of your wet foundation. Great Lakes Waterproofing has been building on over 34 years of exterior waterproofing experience, developing processes that are unique to us for curing wet basements. We don't know of another company that can match the experience of our trained installers. Great Lakes Waterproofing can seal up new foundations or exisiting wet basements.
